Volunteer

The Lowcountry Wind Symphony seeks individuals who care about music and the LWS and are willing to volunteer their talents, time, and energy to the organization. Through its Committees of the Board of Directors, the Lowcountry Wind Symphony offers opportunities for participation in a range of activities and welcomes new volunteers who wish to be involved with a group of individuals who are dedicated to the LWS and the spirit of volunteerism.

LWS relies on its volunteers to help with concert preparations and performances. Serving as Ushers at concerts, participating on the Ad Team to gather corporate advertisements for the annual Playbill are just two of the opportunities to volunteer.

Ushers

Ushers are Lowcountry Wind Symphony ambassadors and play a key role in the success of performances and the overall concert experience for our attendees. Open to anyone interested in supporting the band at public performances.

Usher Duties Include:

  • Handing out Playbills
  • Directing concert attendees to their seats
  • Assisting with Free Will collections (donation baskets)
  • Answering questions

PLUS – Ushers also have the opportunity to hear LWS concerts while volunteering! For more information, please contact info@lowcountrywindsymphony@gmail.com.
