This November, attend the Lowcountry Wind Symphony’s annual concert to celebrate the valor of our nation’s veterans. Familiar patriotic songs that go right to the hearts and memories of listeners will be joined by bold new works by contemporary composers.
Some of the patriotic classics you will hear:
- The Six Service Songs
- The Chimes of Liberty
- POW Hymn
You will also hear more contemporary composers, including:
- David Shaffer (Purple Heart)
- Charles L. Booker, Jr. (Look Homeward Citizen Soldier)
- Michael Kamen (Band of Brothers)
- Larry MacTaggart (Elegy for the USS Arizona)
In this twelfth iteration of our Veterans Day concert series, we celebrate the 250th year of our nation’s birth and the countless men and women who have been serving it ever since – past, present, and always. Invite your friends and family, and we hope to see you there! As always, admission to LWS concerts is free so arrive early to ensure seating availability.
